Three face court over Blanchardstown shop raids

One man and two women held after three local shops robbed over last two weeks

Three people were scheduled to face court this morning in relation to robberies in the Blanchardstown area.

The two women and a man arrested in Blanchardstown on Monday night were charged and were to appear before Blanchardstown District Court at 10.30am.

The women, aged 34 and 39, and man, aged 25, were arrested by gardaí investigating recent raids in the area.

Three local shops were robbed over the past two weeks by attackers armed with knives.

In a planned operation, a car was stopped by gardaí on the Grange Road, Dublin 15 at approximately 10pm on Monday and the three occupants were arrested.

All three were detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Blanchardstown Garda station.
