A parish priest in Co Dublin is recovering at home after an armed thief gained entry to his house and stole cash.
Gardaí are investigating the robbery at the parochial house in Lusk which took place around 10pm last night.
It is thought the robber gained entry to the house, possibly after ringing the doorbell, and then confronted the priest with a screwdriver, demanding money.
A small sum was handed over. The parish collection from Sunday’s masses had already previously been lodged.
