Man and woman due in court over €320,000 Limerick drug seizure

Gardaí seized cannabis herb and cocaine following searches at several locations

A man (30) and woman (47) are expected to appear before a special sitting of Killmallock District Court, Limerick, at 1pm on Sunday, charged in connection with a large drug seizure.

Gardaí seized drugs worth more than €320,000 in Limerick on Friday.

Gardaí from the Limerick Divisional Drug Unit, Mayorstone Crime Unit and the Garda Armed Support Unit seized quantities of cannabis herb and cocaine with an estimated street value of €320,000.

Searches were carried out at locations in the Moyross, Coonagh Lower and Castletroy areas of Limerick.

An 18-year-old man arrested as part of this investigation has been released from Garda custody and is expected to appear before a sitting of Limerick District Court later this month charged in connection with the case.
