A man accused of the murder of Elaine O’Hara in Dublin in August 2012 has been remanded in custody for a further two weeks.
Graham Dwyer was charged last October with the murder of Ms O’Hara (36), whose decomposed remains were found in the Dublin mountains in September. He has been in custody since then.
The 41-year-old architect and father of two, originally from Cork but with an address at Kerrymount Close, Foxrock, Dublin, appeared at Cloverhill District Court today by video-link.
Mr Dwyer, who was dressed in blue jeans and a cream and blue striped top, spoke only to confirm his name and that he could hear Judge Victor Blake.
Ronan O’Brien, for the DPP, requested a further two weeks to prepare the book of evidence which he said was a “complicated matter” given the very serious charge.
Jonathan Dunphy, for Mr Dwyer, consented to the request but said he expected the book to be served at the next court date.
Judge Blake remanded Mr Dwyer in custody to appear again at Cloverhill District Court at 10.30am on January 29th.
