Man (34) arrested over murder of Andy Connors in 2014

Connors was shot multiple times in his upper body at his home in Saggart, Co Dublin

A man (34) has been arrested in connection with the shooting dead of "Fat" Andy Connors in 2014.

Connors, regarded by gardaí as a prolific criminal, was shot multiple times to his upper body in his home at Botherboy, Saggart in Co Dublin, on August 19th, 2014 at about 11pm.

The 45-year-old was brought to Tallaght Hospital but died shortly before midnight.

Gardaí arrested the 34-year-old man in west Dublin on Tuesday.

He is in custody at Tallaght Garda Station and investigations are ongoing.
