An 18 -year-old man has been injured in a shooting in Darndale, Dublin, on Friday night.

The man was shot in the leg but his injuries are described as not life-threatening.

He was treated at the scene by emergency services personnel and removed by ambulance to Beaumont Hospital.

No arrests have been made to date and inquiries are continuing.
