Gardaí seize cannabis plants worth €24,000 in Wexford

Man arrested during raid on New Ross premise

Gardaí have seized cannabis plants worth an estimated €24,000 in Co Wexford.

The plants were seized during the search of a premise at Ballylane East, New Ross yesterday afternoon.

Cannabis plants were found growing in a bedroom and in a greenhouse at the rear of the property.

A 26-year-old local man was arrested at the scene and taken to New Ross Garda station where he is detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
