Gardaí investigating the death of a woman at her home in Co Wexford have ruled out foul play.
The investigation into the incident is now being conducted only to aid a coroner’s inquest.
The body of the woman in her 50s was found in a house in Clonard, Co Wexford, on Tuesday evening. The remains were discovered at Cluain Dara at about 7.30pm.
She had sustained a head injury and gardaí sealed off the scene and treated the death as suspicious, believing she may have met with foul play.
However, sources described that development as “precautionary”, adding that a postmortem on the woman’s remains had confirmed the injury was not inflicted by an other party.
The same sources said it appeared the woman had fallen and had possibly hit her head on a locker.
