Gardaí at Pearse Street in Dublin are appealing for witnesses after two men were injured in a shooting at a pub in the city last night.

The incident happened at about 10pm when two men entered Oil Can Harry’s pub on Lower Mount Street and fired a number of shots at a group of people.

Two men, aged 19 and 20, were brought to St Vincent’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The gunmen left the scene in a dark coloured car, believed to have been driven by a third man, and travelled in the direction of Dublin 4.

The scene is currently preserved for technical examination. Investigations are ongoing and no arrests have been made.

Gardaí are asking anyone who was in or near Oil Can Harry’s pub or Lower Mount Street to contact them. Anyone who has information about the car is also asked to contact Pearse Street garda station on 01 6669000, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666111 or any garda station.
