The first ever Garda graduates in fraud and e-crime investigation were presented with their post-graduate qualifications on Thursday.

In all, 44 members of the force completed training in a skills area increasingly necessary in 21st century law enforcement.

Graduates had studied for the post-graduate certificate at University College Dublin (UCD) and came from a variety of regions and national units.

Professors from UCD, and senior garda management from both the Garda National Economic Crime Bureau and the Garda National Cyber Crime Bureau attended the ceremony.
