Gardaí are investigating the discovery of a body found at a house in Dublin this evening. The death is being treated as suspicious.

The remains of the 42-year-old were located at an address in Marley Court South, Rathfarnham.

The discovery was made at approximately 5pm this evening.

Although details are only emerging, it is understood the deceased had lived at the address with his partner and his father. It is believed his remains were discovered by a family member who alerted gardaí.

The scene is currently sealed off by gardaí for technical examination and the body remains in situ.

The office of the State Pathologist has been informed and is expected at the address to carry out further examinations regarding the potential cause of death.
