A cyclist has died from his injuries after a collision with a pedestrian in Phoenix Park in Dublin this week.
The 59-year-old man, from Castleknock, was travelling on the city-bound cycling lane of Chesterfield Avenue between the Castleknock Gate and Áras an Uachtaráin when the incident happened about 8.40pm on Monday.
The cyclist was taken to Beaumont Hospital where he died from his injuries on Wednesday night.
The pedestrian, who is in his 30s, was brought to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown after sustaining injuries to his back and leg. He was later discharged.
