A High Court dispute between an organisation providing support services to people with physical and neurological conditions and its chief executive has settled.
Cheshire Ireland CEO Mark Blake-Knox had brought an action against his employer, the Cheshire Foundation in Ireland, aimed at preventing his removal from his position.
He had sought orders restraining the foundation from appointing, or taking steps to appoint, any person other than him to carry out the role of CEO of the organisation.
The proceedings were opposed by the foundation and, after certain undertakings were given, were adjourned a number of times to facilitate talks between the parties.
When the matter returned before Mr Justice Paul Gilligan on Friday, Padraic Lyons BL, for Mr Blake-Knox, said the matter had been settled and the case could be adjourned to allow for implementation of the settlement agreement. No details of the agreement were given.
Cheshire Ireland provides services to more than 280 people with very complex and high-support needs in their homes, residential centres, supported accommodation and in standalone respite facilities.
