Finbarr Tolan suing co-op for €6 million in damages over alleged breach of contract

A case involving a Co Mayo cattle dealer who is suing Aurivo Co-operative Society for damages is due to open in the High Court, Dublin,tomorrow. Aurivo, formerly Connacht Gold, runs marts in Sligo, Mayo and Leitrim.

Cattle dealer Finbarr Tolan from Claremorris, Co Mayo, is suing the group for more than €6 million for an alleged breach of contract in connection with a credit agreement. The co-operative said it could not comment on the case but it would be defending its position vigorously.
