A 23-year-old woman has been charged in connection with a shooting in west Dublin on Monday that left three people, including a baby, injured.

She was charged with possession of a shotgun with intent to endanger life at Parlickstown Gardens, Mulhuddart on December 11th last.

Garda Michael Parry Jones told Judge David McHugh that he arrested Ms Donovan at 10.10pm on December 13th at Blanchardstown Garda Station. He said Ms Donovan was later charged at 10.35pm by Sergeant Niamh Guckian with one charge.

Ms Donovan's solicitor, Simon Fleming, told Judge McHugh that he would be seeking bail for his client. The case went to second calling. When the case was recalled, Mr Fleming asked Judge McHugh to put the case back for a bail application to be heard.

Mr Fleming said there had been reporting restrictions placed on the bail hearing of a co-accused and these “had been largely ignored by the media”. Judge McHugh said he had read the objections to bail and he would have to be further convinced on the issue of the remand date. Mr Fleming said his concern that there would be public order issues on the next date if the remand date was made public.

Judge McHugh remanded Ms Donovan in custody for a bail application and he ordered that the remand date not be made public.
