Three men have been granted bail after they were charged over a €1 million cannabis seizure in Dublin.

The men were arrested on Thursday following an investigation by the Garda Organised Crime Bureau and the Revenue Customs Service.

Gavin Mulvey (34), Kiltalown Road, Tallaght; Jonathan Carberry (34), Marfield Green, Tallaght; and Elliot Kidd (24), from Mabel Street, Dublin , were remanded on bail yesterday.

They had been brought before Judge Anthony Halpin at Dublin District Court after they were charged with possessing cannabis with intent to supply at Bath Lane in the city centre on June 11th.

The court heard that Mr Kidd and Mr Mulvey made no reply when charged, and that Mr Carberry’s response was “no comment”.

Det Garda Rebecca Daly said the case involved a seizure estimated to be worth about €1 million.

No plea was entered and the three men were ordered to appear again next Friday. Meanwhile, directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions need to be obtained.

All three have been ordered to surrender their passports and to sign on regularly at their local Garda stations.
