Recruitment group CPL is was seeing signs of "limited improvement" in some of its markets, but said the immediate future of the Irish employment market was still uncertain.
In a trading update, the company said it expected its profit for the year to June 30th 2010 to be broadly in line with market expectations, despite difficult market conditions. It said it had remained profitable throughout 2010.
However, employment in the Irish market is still falling, it said, and sequential employment growth is not expected to resume until the second quarter of next year.
"We are cautiously optimistic that a slow recovery has begun in the markets relevant to our business," the company said in a statement.
