Asobu Pill Organiser Bottle It's an unwanted reminder of the ticking clock when a key part of packing is sorting the pills stash. And not of the party variety. Asobu has a neat twist on the regular water bottle by adding a removable pill box with a week's rationing. So there's a drink to hand when you need to pop a cap. There's braille on each day's lid and it comes in a range of colours. Of course, the bottle is BPA-free too, so you're not potentially adding to your ills sipping from it. $17/€15 from amazon.com
Sea to Summit X-Pot Sea to Summit is just launching a whole range of collapsible cooking wares, including pots and a kettle, for when packing-up is at a premium, such as when camping or boating. The smart-looking saucepans and casseroles have heat-resistant flexible silicone sides that can fold virtually flat when travelling, with handles that clip over to keep them that way. Each has an aluminium base to go on the heat, and clever thinking all round, with lids that are see-through and can double as strainers. From €50, see seatosummit.com for availability
DxO One Camera DxO is positioning its One as giving the power of a DSLR camera in a tiny size. That's a bit of a leap, but it does offer the enhanced picture quality of a one-inch sensor, capturing 20MP stills and shooting 1080 HD video. The size trick is that it uses an iPhone to do the viewfinder bit, with an app to handle image processing. It has its own memory card slot. You're paying prettily for the pleasure: €649 preorder from dxo.com
