Salsa your way through security:If you are passing through Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport this summer and have time to spare, take note: free dance lessons are being offered to help passengers get into the holiday spirit. You'll be able to take a 15-minute class in oriental dance, mambo, modern jazz, rock'n'roll, tango, salsa and hip hop.

Four thousand people have taken up the offer since the scheme was launched, in late June. Classes take place between 10am and 6pm each day.

People's regatta under sail

Cobh Peoples Regatta takes place this weekend in the Co Cork town. Today features dinghy sailing and lots of entertainment for children ashore. Tomorrow the harbour will be alive with the sails of the cruiser classes during six races.

Irish art heading for Canada

An exhibition by Waterford-based painter Andrea Jameson opens on the Canadian island of Newfoundland next month. The exhibition, at the Five Island Gallery in Tors Cove,

will feature landscapes and seascapes of southeast Ireland. Jameson was born in Oslo in 1953 to a Norwegian mother and an Irish father, a member of the whiskey family.
