Northern treasure
A new company is offering mystery walking and driving trails in Northern Ireland.
The Treasure Trail is a cross between a quiz and a guided walk, in which participants complete a trail in their own time and follow directions around historic and scenic sights. The trails take the form of a murder mystery, with trailers eliminating suspects and weapons as they go, or a treasure hunt; they take up to two hours to complete. There are plenty of places to stop for food or a drink en route, and many trails are wheelchair- and pushchair-friendly.
Snakes on a plane
Four pythons forced the cancellation of two flights in Australia on Tuesday when they escaped from the cargo hold of a passenger aircraft during a flight from Alice Springs to Melbourne. Qantas said they were part of a shipment of 12 non-venomous Stimson’s pythons, which are kept as pets in parts of the country. As the 15cm reptiles could not be found, the aircraft was fumigated. They may have slithered into warm parts of the plane, according to snake experts.
