Dublin Dance Festival Children's Season: Tickets for events at The Ark, the cultural centre for children on Eustace Street, Temple Bar, sell out quickly because of the diversity and quality of shows on offer – including work from other countries.

The Dublin Dance Festival Children’s Season starts on May 17th to 28th, and begins with two family workshops with performer and choreographer Cindy Cummings. The creative dance workshops are suitable for families and children aged seven-plus. Tickets cost €8-€10. Workshops take place at 6pm to 7.10pm as they are on school days.

Dutch troupe De Stilte will be bringing its show MADCAPto The Ark in which three dancers build a wonderfully imaginative farm-like world with simple objects – small bird cages, large eggs and a metal bucket. Suitable for children from four years.

Slightly older children might enjoy the sheer physicality of the shows by Erik Kaiel/Archeopteryx 8 Dance Group, My True North and No man is an Island.
