Endless Sundays:Tomorrow, many of Carlow's hotels have partnered together to launch Carlow's Endless Sundays. The promotion offers all weekend guests the option to defer check-out until late on Sunday afternoon, thus giving you more time to relax and explore. To coincide with the launch, Carlow Tourism is offering free admission to a range of visitor attractions and activities, including guided walks, kids' entertainment, waterway activities, artisan foods and gardening. Alpine meet
Mountaineering Ireland’s summer Alpine meet will be in Argentière, a small village near Chamonix, France on July 2nd to 17th. An information evening will be held on Wednesday at 7.30pm in Great Outdoors, Chatham Street. Under discussion will be a detailed schedule of events for the meet. Blackstairs challenge
The Blackstairs challenge walk organised by Wayfarers takes place next Saturday. The walk from Killanure to Glynn is 30.5km and takes about nine hours to complete. Participants must have hill walking experience and arrive properly equipped. Under 12s are not allowed while ages 12 to 16 must be accompanied by an adult. The entry fee is €15, which includes transport to the start of the walk. A certificate will be awarded to all those who complete or participate in the walk.
