Champions LeagueAnyone planning to travel to the Champions League final, in Moscow on May 21st, has been urged to secure accommodation before travelling, but at this late stage that's easier said than done.

With an estimated 35,000 beds in Moscow and up to 50,000 Chelsea and Manchester United supporters expected to travel to the city, fans searching for what little accommodation is left have had to pay high prices as hoteliers take advantage of demand. At this stage, supporters can expect to pay more than €200 a night for a decent hotel bed near the city centre, with one two-star hotel quoting €1,227 per night late last week. If that doesn't put you off, check websites such as www.hotelclub. com for last-minute deals - but don't hold your breath. Other options include trying to find a hotel near the airport or contacting Russian tourism authorities if searching for a B&B. Late flights are virtually non-existent.
