SLIGO WALKING TOUR
A free guided walking tour of Sligo town leaves the Tourist Information Office on Temple Street at 11am every Tuesday to Friday throughout the summer. The historical walk lasts two hours and takes in historical, cultural, sporting and musical places of interest. sligotourism.ie
WEEK AT THE ABBEY
This monthly party run by thisispopbaby is on Saturday from 10.30pm until 2.30am in the Peacock, in the basement of the Abbey Theatre. A host of Irish and international artists perform, including DJ Neil Watkins, combining an underground club with performance art. Tickets are €12 on the door or €10 in advance. COOKING CLASSES
Learn how to create the perfect Thai supper this evening at My Little Kitchen, Fiona McKnight's Derry cooking school. Courses run through the summer, from Italian cuisine to baking bread, but tonight's offering includes Thai soups, appetisers, rice and noodle dishes. TEENAGE DISCO
