BOG MEADOWS WALK
What do you do with urban floodplains? Belfast City Council has come up with a novel urban walk through the flora and fauna close to the Falls Road. The route has won several awards and at just over a mile long, it's a perfect stop-off during a visit to the city. All this week, visitors to Altamont Gardens in Carlow can participate in the first Rose Week. There are guided tours by head gardener Paul Cutler at 2pm daily.
