Trocaire's annual Lenten campaign begins next Wednesday and marks 40 years of the charity's development education work. Last year, the diocese of Kilmore topped the generosity stakes giving €4 per capita. This illustration below, a competition-winning design by the students of first and second class at Northampton National School, Kinvara, Co Galway, graces this year's box. In 2013 Trocaire raised €8.5 million, using the funds in 27 countries they work in. See trocaire.org.
