LOOKING AT the pristine white kitchen of 5 Clonfadda Wood you’d never guess that it’s home to three children and two dogs – but the owner says all the surfaces were chosen because they’re easy to clean.

The Alno Pro Art kitchen from McNally (01-660 4856) is handle-free with aluminium moulded frames and high-gloss lacquered doors which have a mirrored effect. The engineered white worktops are trimmed in aluminium. A similar kitchen, excluding appliances, will cost around €30,000-€40,000.

The white resin floor is by Concrete Repair Protection Systems which is based in Clondalkin (014573949). This was chosen for its seamless finish and reflective quality and because it’s comfortable underfoot and easy to wipe clean. The white leather Cliff counter stools (€450 each) are from Minima (01-662 7894), as are the Piuma chairs (€438 each). They all come from the Cattelan collection.

The Sovet Palace white glass top table (€3,040) is also from Minima and has a white glass top and white lacquered steel base. With all that white, some bold colour is required to stop it looking like a plush operating theatre. The dramatic black lamp from Limited Edition (01-453 1123) has cut-out squares displaying glass crystals that twinkle at night.
