SANTRY - FROM €225,000:A NEW PHASE of apartments at Carrington at Northwood in Santry, Dublin 9 is being released this weekend and, like several of the new homes schemes on offer by developer P Elliott & Co this week, there are substantial price cuts - between €65,000 and €110,000.

Carrington is in Santry Demesne, which stretches between Santry and Ballymun with lakeside walks, woodland and lots of amenities.

Hooke & MacDonald is the agent for the scheme and is quoting prices of €225,000 for one-bed apartments of 54sq m (580sq ft) and two-beds of 68-74sq m (730-795sq ft) are from €295,000. Three-bed penthouses of 91-95sq m (975-1,020sq ft ) are from €380,000.

In September last year one-bed apartments were from €310,000, two-beds from €360,000 and three-bed penthouse apartments from €490,000.

Features include high quality Italian-style fitted kitchens with granite worktops and appliances which include a dishwasher and washer dryer. All of the apartments have balconies and security intercoms.

The area is well served with leisure and shopping. The Omni Park shopping centre in Santry is nearby, which has shops and a cinema complex, while within the demesne there is Gulliver's Retail Park and a large Eurospar convenience store. Northwood Fitness Centre, the Crowne Plaza Hotel and Mandalay Chinese restaurant are among the other facilities.

The entrance to Santry Demesne is on the Swords road beside the Morton Stadium where there is 24-hour security.
