- A HOUSE on a height with a view of the sea in Delgany, Co Wicklow, is for sale by private treaty through Lennox Estates for €1.6 million. There are five bedrooms in Sonoma, a large – 347sq m (3,738sq ft) – bungalow on an acre of gardens at Upper Kindlestown.

The house is designed to get the advantage of the views: there are deep picture windows and sliding screen doors opening onto the garden from the drawingroom, which has a vaulted ceiling.

So does the large hall, which has patio doors to a rear courtyard patio. The kitchen has polished granite worktops, lots of storage and doors opening onto the lawn. There’s also a utility room, games room and a study/library.

- There’s a raised deck looking over a mature garden at the back of 50 Farney Park, in Sandymount, Dublin 4. This is a solid traditional house with a bay window at the front, polished wood flooring throughout the downstairs, and four bedrooms upstairs.

There’s a gas-fired Aga in the kitchen. And being in Sandymount, it’s convenient to shops, schools, the sea and the Dart. It’s for sale for €975,000 through Bennett’s.

On view: Saturday, 1pm to 2pm

- A REFURBISHED three-bedroom period house, 7 Adelaide Road, Glasthule, Co Dublin is close to Glasthule village and Sandycove Dart station. For sale through Lisney for €795,000, it has all the usual period features – high ceilings, ceiling coving in the main reception rooms and a cast-iron fireplace in the sittingroom. It also has modern comforts like the kitchen/breakfastroom with a range of Maple Shaker-style units. Outside there’s a good-sized mature garden.

On view: Saturday, noon to 1pm

- A HOUSE with potential which backs onto the Castle Golf Club in Rathfarnham is one of the few properties coming to auction this season: 29 Hillside Drive, a 1950s bungalow with a 115ft-long back garden, has an AMV of €950,000 prior to auction on May 14th through Lisney.

Agent Ciaran Cassidy says that the house is in good order and could be refurbished and extended. A new owner might, however, do what others have done and demolish the property and rebuild on the site.

The 133sq m (1,437sq ft) house currently has five bedrooms (two in the attic area). A long back garden with mature shrubs, trees and bushes, is one of its main attractions.

On view: today (Thurs) 1pm to 2pm; Saturday, 2pm to 3pm

- THE FIRST owner of 44 Greygates, Mount Merrion, Co Dublin was controversial Blueshirt leader General Eoin O’Duffy, who bought it in 1935. It has a large double garage – where he apparently at one stage hid his car and that of his bodyguard in the turbulent 1930s. Now the Kenny-built three/four bedroom house, which fronts onto Stillorgan Road, is for sale through Douglas Newman Good for €1.1 million. There is a large mature garden at the back and potential to develop that historic garage.

On view: Saturday, 1pm to 2pm

- A 167sq m (1,800sq ft) four-bedroom house in Glenageary, Co Dublin, is for sale for €900,000 through Sherry FitzGerald. The house at 9 Hillcourt Park, off Hillcourt Road, is one of an estate of about 40 built in the 1980s. It has been refurbished in the past three years. Accommodation includes a livingroom, diningroom, kitchen-cum-breakfastroom.

On view: Saturday 1pm to 2pm
