This week sees the launch of the second phase of 25 apartments at Whitehall Square, an apartment scheme off the Malone Road in Belfast. Joint agents Hooke & MacDonald and Ulster Property Sales will be accepting bookings off the plans.

Built by the Carvill Group, Whitehall Square is a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments and penthouses located in four blocks over retail units. Each block is served by a lift from the car-park.

One-bedroom units cost from £86,950 sterling, two-beds are £99,950 and three-bedroom duplex penthouses are £149,950.

The main pedestrian entrance will be via an atrium and leads to an internal courtyard. Most of the penthouses have a mezzanine floor and spiral staircase and many apartments have their own balconies.

The first phase of this 121apartment development was sold last summer. This phase is expected to be ready for occupation by early next year.

Standard features will include wall tiling in the kitchen and bathroom, wooden blinds in the livingroom and bedroom, a wool-twist carpet and a Shaker-style maple kitchen with appliances including a washer dryer, fridge freezer, and a hob and oven.

Close to Shaftesbury Square and Bradbury Place, the scheme is situated in the centre of Belfast's Golden Mile. It is also close to Botanic Avenue and the Crescent Arts Theatre.

Approximately 40 per cent of the housing growth earmarked for Belfast up to 2015 will be targeted within the Belfast Metropolitan area.

Previous Carvill Group schemes include Brookwood in Rathfarnham and The Windmill on Sir John Rogerson's Quay.
