Lock House has been decorated and modernised by the current owners and has two reception rooms, a kitchen, utility room, one bedroom and a study, which could be used as a second bedroom

There interior has a cottage feel. The diningroom has a beamed ceiling while the livingroom is a cosy space with a large open fire and an imposing mantelpiece.

The fitted kitchen comes with an American fridge while the utility room has a washing machine and dryer.

The study at loft level has floor-to-ceiling shelving.

Other features of the house include broadband access and oil fired central heating. There is mooring available outside for boats.

The agent reckons the house would be perfect as a writer's or artist's retreat but says it isn't suitable for children because it is so close to the water.
