Saturday (March 26th) O'Donovan & Associates Auctioneers, North Quay, Newcastle West, Co Limerick. Antiques and house clearance "Easter Auction" at 11am. A 1920 War of Independence handwritten boycott notice for a grocery shop in Tulla, Co Clare issued by "Oglaigh na H-Éireann - West Clare Brigade IRA". Sold for €475 (€300-€400) online to an Irish ex-pat bidder in Dubai.

Wednesday (March 30th) Purcell Auctioneers, Birr, Co Offaly . The Library of the late Mr Gill Ruttledge. An Embassy Sent by the East-India Company of the United Provinces to the Grand Tartar Cham or Emperour of China, printed in London in 1669, € 2,100 (€3,000-€5,000); The Punishments of China, published in 1801, €750 (€600-€800). The Antiquities of Ireland by Francis Grose, published in 1791, €2,700 (€3,000-€4,000); In Fairyland - Pictures from the Elf World with coloured plates by Richard Doyle, published in 1870, €480 (€400-€500); Essays on Syphilis by John Hamilton (Surgeon to the Richmond Hospital, Dublin) published in 1849, €140 (€120-€150); The Death of Fionavar – From The Triumph of Maeve by Eva Gore-Booth, with illustrations by Constance Gore-Booth (Countess Markievicz), published in 1916, euro €200 (€60-€80).

Lot 135 is a bronze panel entitled Bloomsday by the late Irish sculptor James McKenna who died in 2000, measuring 51cm high and 60cm wide estimated at €2,000- €3,000.
