Thursday (February 18th)
Christie's, London. Charity auction (for Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders) of memorabilia from Spectre, the 24th film in the James Bond series. All lots were sold, including an Aston Martin DB10 car for £2.4 million (£1 million-£1.5 million) and a Spectre Blu-ray (disc) signed by Daniel Craig, together with a pair of initialled "JB" Tom Ford lapis lazuli cufflinks worn by him in the opening scene of the film, £30,000 (£3,000-£5,000).
Saturday (February 20th)
Lynes & Lynes Auctioneers, Carrrigtwohill, Cork. A painting that formerly hung in the Cashel Palace Hotel, Co Tipperary, entitled Some Characters Seen at Cheltenham on Gold Cup Day by the English artist Waldron West €13,000 (€5,000-€10,000); the grandfather clock from the lobby of the hotel fetched €3,000 (€3,000-€5,000).
Sunday (February 21st )
Adam's, 26 St Stephen's Green. "Fine period interiors" auction. Some 77 per cent of lots sold. A Victorian London Martinware glazed pottery tobacco jar and cover modelled in the form of a standing bird fetched €13,000 (€15,000-€25,000); a 19th-century French marble and ormolu mounted "balloon" mantel clock by Duterte of Paris €9,500 (€2,000-€3,000); an Irish George II mahogany grandfather clock by William Ross, Cork €6,400 (€4,000-€6,000); an 18th-century Queen Anne walnut veneered bureau cabinet €4,800 (€5,000-€8,000); a set of four late Victorian silver table candlesticks by London silversmiths Langley, Archer and West €4,400 (€3,000-€5,000); a group of 18th- and 19th-century scientific instruments including a timber-cased protractor set dated 1765 and a sharkskin-cased geometry set €250 (€200-€300).

Lots include: a "very rare steward's badge from Slane Races, 1903"; a portrait of Patrick James Carroll, founder of the PJ Carroll tobacco company; a letter from the Duke of Leinster to Mr Carroll "thanking him for the gift of a packet of cigars"; plus coins, medals and old Irish banknotes.
