An early 20th-century uniform of Sir William Watson, a deputy lieutenant of the city of Dublin, including double-breasted navy velvet jacket, matching trousers, leather sword sling and a beaver bi-corn hat with maker's label "J JONES and SON, Late Sexton's Military Tailors DAWSON STREET, DUBLIN" (estimate €800).

Wednesday, February 24th: O'Reilly's Auction Rooms, Francis Street, Dublin 8. Auction of jewellery and silver at 1pm to include an emerald-set pin, modelled as a shamrock, mounted in gold, "presented by Aer Lingus in 1989 to best-performing travel agent". €600-€800.
