RAY GREHAN’S Glenkerrin Homes is hoping to wrap up sales this weekend at its long running Ballintyre development in Dublin 16.
The last remaining four homes, including two large three-bedroom penthouses, are being released for sale at prices in line with the fall in values over the past year.
A two-bedroom apartment with 70.9sq m (764sq ft) is available at €355,000, the same price as in 2004 when Glenkerrin first launched the Ballintyre homes off plans. These apartments were making €470,000 at the height of the property boom.
Glenkerrin has also trimmed back its price from the early €400,000s to €300,000 for the last remaining one-bedroom mews which has been created out of a former stable. It has a floor area of 58.9sq m (635sq ft) and lots of atmosphere.
For those looking for something special there are the two three-bedroom penthouses with spectacular fit-outs and oodles of space.
One of them, priced at €650,000 (€200,000 less than two years ago), has 148sq m (1,600sq ft) of space including a large reception room, vaulted ceilings, central vacuum system, classy bathrooms and great views over the city or the Dublin mountains.
An even more spacious three-bedroom penthouse of 225sq m (2,430sq ft) has a price tag of €850,000, down a full €350,000 from its original selling price.
