Most people who’ve never tried vegetarianism or had plans to, usually can’t imagine a dinner plate without meat, but it’s easier than you think, especially if it’s only for one day a week.
Meatless Monday is a movement that suggests leaving meat off your plate on a Monday (or whatever day you like). Studies have shown that not eating meat one day a week can over time reduce your risk of chronic preventable conditions such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity.
There’s also been a lot of talk in the last year about how going meatless can reduce your carbon footprint and save on resources like fossil fuels and fresh water. Not only will a meatless Monday keep you a little healthier, but the planet too.
