Dog lovers rejoice; the first festival in Ireland to celebrate all things pooch- related takes place this summer. Billed as a "Mardi Gras for Mutt and Man", the event will take place in Merrion Square on September 12th.
There will be talks from groomers and trainers; a doggie and soul relaxation area; live music and an open-air movie screening – with all events focused on precious pooches, such as Louis the cockapoo, above.
The Doggie Do day will culminate in a grand parade down the dogwalk, where owner and dog will dress to impress while being put through their paces by a judging panel.
At the end of the day, the Dog of Dublin will be crowned. The Doggie Do supports Dog's Trust Ireland and is currently raising funds on fundit.ie. Read more at doggiedo.ie
