This week, we meet super stylish Snapchat king James Kavanagh, whose weekend look which is perfect for the cold days and nights of winter. James mixes pieces from Irish designers collections with high street to create this smart casual look. Check James out on his hilarious snapchat: JamesKava.

Pants:

Alan Taylor @ Nowhere “I’m in love with these pants; they are tweed with a slit on each knee. It’s a perfect mix of tailored and casual.”

Coat: Alan Taylor @ Nowhere "This is a bit Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat – except it's a completely black coat. But it has a glittering silver thread running through it that makes for a great entrance into a room. I can't gush about Alan Taylor enough. I'd happily wear his stuff every day of my life."

Shoes: Black leather Converse from Office, Grafton St, Dublin "I have them in white too. So comfy and they go with everything."

Scarf: Zara! I worship Zara scarves. I have about 10,000. They are so massive and soft – exactly what's needed for our vicious winters.

Turtleneck jumper: Topman, Grafton St, Dublin "I'm having such a love affair with turtlenecks at the moment. They make me feel like a power lesbian who owns an art gallery in New York. Which is definitely who I was in a past life."

“My style is completely mood dependent. I do not dress for seasons or occasions. It could be the coldest day of the year and I’ll get it into my head that I want to wear shorts and I will. I’ll just deal with the Baltic-ness. I could be in my house all day and leave to go to Tesco but I’ll get a jolt to wear something a bit fun, so I’ll throw on a full tweed coat and my fish bag and sashay down the street.

“But then on the other hand, I’ll have to go out dancing, but will be uninspired so will wear something plain and boring. I need to be inspired.

“ I’m not really a trend follower, but one thing I adore is massive scarves. And with each year that goes by, I see scarves getting bigger and bigger and I love it! I love nothing more than wearing a fitted coat, skinny jeans and crowning the look with a mammoth scarf. Last year, I resorted to wearing a blanket because I couldn’t find a big enough scarf in the shops.”
