There are plenty of ghoulish events taking place countrywide over the next three days.

One of the biggest is Phantom FM’s Fright Night, which kicks off in Dublin’s Button Factory tonight. As well as live performances from Dublin indie rockers The Cast of Cheers (below) and The Minutes, there’ll be a special set by 1990s tribute act Spring Break and a DJ set by Phantom’s Michelle Doherty. For the weekend that’s in it, the person with the best costume will win a trip for two to Cyprus.

“The Fright Night dancefloor will be a true test of how well those costumes are held together!” said marketing manager Brian Daly.

Strange Brew, Galway’s famous weekly club, also hits Dublin’s Workman’s Club for one night only on Sunday, when they’ll host a Halloween extravaganza featuring Le Galaxie, Lost Chord, Not Squares and Daithí.
