A gig with a difference takes place at new music venue The Workman’s Club in Dublin tonight.

Jeremy Hickey, also known as RSAG, is taking over both floors of the venue for a special gig that will incorporate a live set with full visuals, a DJ set by Donal Dineen, and a performance from RSAG Soundsystem, which entails Hickey on drums and fellow Kilkenny artist The Kilo 1977 on the decks.

Trained in:Animal Collective have designed a pair of trainers. The Tobin is for charity and for $75, you will also get a cassette tape of new material.

Mute point: Having been a subsidiary of EMI since 2002, Mute Records is reverting to being an independent label. White Rabbits, Richard Hawley, Goldfrapp, Depeche Mode and Kraftwerk will return to EMI.

Venue change:The venue for tomorrow's A Tribute to Derek Nally has changed from Vicar Street to The Grand Social. Richie Egan, Bell X1, Mundy and David Kitt are to perform.
