Pianist Danilo Pérez, bassist John Patitucci and drummer Brian Blade are great musicians in their own right, and each has already made his own contribution to jazz.
But together they are best known as three-quarters of the Wayne Shorter quartet, and the guiding spirit of the great saxophonist is evident from the first note of their debut release as a trio.
