If you have some aptitude for the national tongue and you fancy yourself a film-maker, then you should take heed of an attractive initiative from the Dingle Film Festival.
The Kerry event has €5,000 to put the way of a promising proposal for an Irish-language short.
The project, which is “aimed at people who combine a special interest in film alongside a commitment to the Irish language”, will accept applications up to January 31st.
So download the form from dinglefilmfestival.com and get your metaphorical skates on. The festival runs from March 17th to 20th.
