They came, they saw, they were conquered by Jim Carroll and his team of musos Peter Corway, Lisa Tinley and Dave O’Grady. Team name? We’re On the Record and You’re Not.

The Mercantile in Dublin was the venue for the inaugural Ticket table quiz on Wednesday night. A ragged bunch of readers, hacks and hangers-on did a fine job of lashing out answers to Eoin “Shuffle” Butler’s enigmatic quiz.

The round that broke them – Fiddy or Gogarty? – was a bonkers trawl of tweets from the great rapper and the dapper Green TD.

Highlight of the night was the birth of a double act as MCs Hugh “Online” Linehan and Conor “PriceWatch” Pope mutated into Ant and Dec/Little Large/Jedward (take your pick) before our watering eyes.
