Playing for Change, a music collective that has generated millions of YouTube hits for their cover of Ben E King's Stand By Me, will play their first Irish gigs at Cork Opera House (June 26th) and Whelan's (27th). Producer Mark Johnson travelled the globe collecting covers of the track by street musicians for a documentary in 2009.
