Shaun White's new game is a bit of a conundrum. More often seen hitting the slopes, this time White is putting his name to a skateboarding game. Does it pay off? Sort of. Shaun White Skateboardingis more arcade than realistic. Even the storyline is over the top, with the world under the strict control of the grey, domineering Ministry. They've captured White; you have to free him. There are some nice touches, including the ability to transform the world around you (within reason, of course). To do
that, you have to complete challenges and progress in the game. Some of the control allows you to stretch and twist handrails, or turn streets into ramps. But the window dressing on the game fails to make up for a poor control system and dull campaign mode.
