GAME REVIEW:16 cert, Japan Studio, PS3 (Move controls) ***
This is a logical opus for Playstation's new Move controller: a slapstick racing/ martial arts game. Seen from behind, you play either a dorky guy or a sexy lady (natch) who must negotiate a rickety small vehicle (such as office chairs or toys with wheels) downhill in an urban area. You evade obstacles by leaning under them limo- style, leaping, swerving or kicking them out of your way. Along the way there are mobsters, traffic and pedestrians to block your path.
Kung Fu Rideris a slick presentation. Colourful, clear graphics compliment the slapstick, making the whole thing feel like a set piece from an old Jackie Chan movie. The Move controls are reasonably responsive and precise, though some will find they take some getting used to. You set the controls based on your size and distance from the screen before kick-off, but the option to recalibrate mid-game is welcome.
