Captain Americamakes a much better film than video game. Super Soldieris let down by weaknesses that have spoiled many promising games: graphics that should be better, and a campaign that can seem tedious, despite its brevity.
But it's still fun to play. It's loosely based on the film, but the action takes place in a castle complex that gives the game an open-world atmosphere, although you cant really wander at will. It has everything you love about Captain America: solid battles, an endless army of enemies and, of course, the shield, which will save you on more than a few occasions from an untimely end – and double as a weapon to take out enemies at range.
There are also plenty of collectibles to hunt down, but too many on-screen prompts spoil the game experience a little.
