Elton John is entertaining plans to turn his life story into a gritty kitchen-sink drama, something in the style of Italian neo-realism or the Iranian new wave.

Only joking. It will be more of a fantasy – Moulin Rouge-type stuff. Obviously, “It’s not going to be your normal, run-of-the-mill film,” he told Chris Evans. “My life’s been so surreal, from buying a football club to God knows what.”

That sounds more like it, Elton.
