James Joyce’s The Dead is one of the greatest short stories ever written. Experience it like you never have before in this thrilling immersive theatre experience brought to you by ANU, Landmark Productions and MoLI. Taking place in the rich historical interior and unseen rooms of MoLI (Museum of Literature Ireland) at 85 St Stephen’s Green, the evening will start as audiences arrive in the hallway before taking the journey up the opulent staircase to embark on an unforgettable evening. Beloved both by readers, and by viewers of John Huston’s iconic film The Dead, this immersive theatre experience is adapted and directed by Louise Lowe and designed by Owen Boss. The brilliant ensemble cast of 12 includes Marty Rea as Gabriel Conroy and Maeve Fitzgerald as Gretta.
Snuggled between two of Dublin’s finest Georgian Parks, and directly beside MoLI, where the performance of The Dead takes place, Stauntons on the Green is a Georgian townhouse that delights guests with its fascinating history, extensive art collection and hidden garden.
