Nikon Coolpix S800c

€459

With mobile phones increasingly becoming better at snapping good quality images on the go, point-and-shoot camera-makers are facing a challenge. Nikon’s new Coolpix S800c is an Android-powered compact camera that allows you to share photos online directly from the camera. Billed as a social imaging device, the camera can use its wifi connection to download apps from Google’s Play store, so you can have photo-editing apps, social media apps and even games on your camera. It also comes with 10x optical zoom, a 16mp sensor and an 3.5in touch OLED screen to take advantage of all those apps.

Samsung Galaxy Beam

€ From free

Samsung’s Galaxy Beam certainly stands out from your average smartphone. The Android-powered device has a built-in projector that allows you to share photos and videos – in fact anything on your phone, at the touch of a button. The 15 lumens projector will project at a distance of up to 2m and gives you some pretty decent-sized images as a result. And despite the projector, it’s still reasonably slim. The phone, which is exclusive to Vodafone for two months, runs on Gingerbread rather than Ice Cream Sandwich at the moment.

Logitech K760

€79.99

Logitech’s light-powered keyboards are certainly a handy thing to have around. And the new K760 is designed to work not only with your MacBook, but also your iPhone and iPad. Connected by Bluetooth, you can switch between three devices at the touch of a button. The compact, lightweight keyboard is powered not only by sunlight, but also low light or lamp light, so it charges indoors or outdoors. Which, given the Irish weather, is probably a good thing.
